Product Designer Team Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer Team Lead, Nurture and Convert who will help us design a product while keeping in mind the omnichannel user experience. 

When you join our team, you’ll work with the designers, product managers, and development teams. Your role will be to guide your team thru and take part in the design process from problem-framing to building conceptual solutions, and to help deliver experiences that benefit our customers and our business.

About the role:

  • Lead and perform design activities like best practice audits, user research, data analytics, usability tests, experience mapping, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and concept validation.
  • Run and participate in design thinking workshops.
  • Work with design peers to achieve the overall design strategy and create a cohesive, consistent user experience for the entire suite. 
  • Be a strategic partner to cross-functional peers within the Nurture and Convert team in defining product direction and developing the product roadmap.
  • Ensure the design team is brought in early enough.
  • Negotiate and prioritize to choose the most effective allocations of design resources
  • Develop your team’s expertise in their craft and support their growth.
  • Provide supervision to the team members by coordinating activities, checking on quality and work progress.
  • Use and take part in the maintenance of the internal design system.
  • Implement and improve design and feedback processes to help scale the team.
  • Advocate and evangelize design tools, methodologies, and practices among non-designers.
  • About you:

  • 6-8 years of experience designing and shipping digital products and systems, of which preferably at least 1 year is leading other designers or a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Comfortable participating in the product development process as an equal partner to Product Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Humble but confident, with an understanding of how research, data, and instinct play into decision making.
  • Proactive and have a sense of process ownership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple design requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Natural interest in helping others achieve their goals.
  • Excellent communication skills. In addition to your local team, you’ll be working with a team that is 9 time zones away.
  • It is a plus if you have a:

  • Background in working with or developing design systems.
  • Trackable history designing Saas products.
  • Experience working with or being part of an agile product development team.
