Hearsay Systems is looking for a talented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in Budapest!

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play an integral part in the day-to-day operations and accounting close with opportunities to work on various projects as the company continues to scale.  Working directly with the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable, you will take ownership of the full order to cash accounts receivable cycle and related functions. The desired candidate must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong attention to detail and should be able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You love getting “hands on,” yet also see the big picture, be able to communicate articulately, and is a process-oriented individual who is also flexible and thrives in a startup setting.

About the role:

  • Review contracts and special terms to ensure customers are billed in accordance with their contracts and terms
  • Generate sales order and invoices through NetSuite and send them to customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Verify sales tax and file returns
  • Maintain and update customer data in NetSuite and ensure invoices are sent to the right recipients
  • Follow up payment on outstanding invoices, manage incoming payments, properly tracking, depositing to bank, and entering them into a database to maintain accurate records
  • Investigate and resolve customer’s billing questions and other discrepancies
  • Communicate any potential problem accounts to the sales team and management as appropriate
  • Put together accounts receivable and collection reports, reconciliation, and other analysis
  • Provide weekly/monthly updates to management
  • Assist in year-end audits
  • Put together or update the order to cash process and procedures 
  • Drive process efficiencies and improvements in the order to cash cycle
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and systems implementation as necessary 
  • About you:

  • College degree with prior billing and collections experience
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.com 
  • Very strong attention to detail, well organized and able to multitask
  • Having worked for a mid-sized to large SaaS business
  • Excellent communication skill and ability to work with people (Deal Desk and Sales Team)
  • High degree of concern for quality work and deadlines
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Nice to have:

  • Ariba knowledge
  • Good understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
