Senior Product Designer, Mobile

We believe that our users’ journey should be one holistic experience regardless of channels and devices.  We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer, Mobile who understands mobile’s role in this journey and will help us design for the context while keeping in mind the omnichannel user experience. 

When you join our team, you’ll work with the product manager responsible for the Hearsay Mobile apps and the mobile development teams. You’ll also collaborate very closely with product managers and designers of both the platform and business solution product teams.

About the Role:

Following our design processes:

  • Conduct best practice audits, lead user research, gather and study analytics, carry on usability tests to feed the design process with synthesized report findings.
  • Run design thinking workshops.
  • Design iteratively, using personas, journey mapping, flow diagrams, sketches, wireframes, and high fidelity visuals.
  • Validate concepts with appropriate user testing methods.
  • Working on our mobile design efforts:

  • Work with cross-functional teams including other designers, software engineers, product managers, and go-to-market professionals to create one cohesive, consistent user experience.
  • Create mobile-optimized experiences while providing core consistency.
  • Optimize the experience while considering the mobile and tablet channel constraints, contexts of use, and make compromises where necessary.
  • Optimizing our design processes and craft to enhance the team’s value and impact

  • Use and take part in the maintenance of the internal design system.
  • Coach less experienced UX professionals on the team.
  • Implement and improve design and feedback processes to help scale the team.
  • Advocate and evangelize design tools, methodologies, and practices among non-designers.
  • About you:

  • Deep understanding of mobile app UX best practices and familiarity with Material Design Guidelines and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
  • 6-8 years of experience designing and shipping digital products and systems, of which at least 3-4 years is designing mobile experiences. 
  • Comfortable participating in the product development process as an equal partner to Product Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Humble but confident, with an understanding of how research, data, and instinct play into decision making.
  • Proactive and have a sense of process ownership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple design requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • It's a plus, but not required:

  • Background in working with or developing design systems.
  • Trackable history designing Saas products.
  • Experience working with or being part of an agile product development team.
