Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a collaborative, creative, get-it-done Senior Frontend Engineer to join our passionate Platform team and help us modernize the advisor-client experience!

About the role:

  • Drive the development to support a fast-growing user base
  • Be directly responsible for multiple or large components within our product suite; and potentially provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and design to execute a diverse range of projects
  • Provide technical influence, drive best practices, and shape how the engineering team works as a whole (process, systems, etc.)
  • The ability to listen to other people's strong opinions and willingness to change yours

    • About you:

  • You are a change agent, recognizing technology is always evolving and you embrace that change and incorporate it into your daily work
  • Solid understanding and proven application of base front-end web technologies, including: JS(ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
  • Extensive experience working across the technical stack, developing modern web apps, and building systems that scale- Unparalleled empathy for your users and thorough understanding of user-centered design
  • Experience refactoring legacy systems incrementally is a plus. Experience migrating Backbone to React is a huge plus
  • Experience building enterprise products, SaaS products is also a plus
  • Experience providing technical leadership is a plus

    • Your typical day may include:

  • Collaborate with Product Owner to clarify acceptance criteria for user stories the implement solutions that bring user values
  • Team collaboration and brainstorming a new design for a part of the product and discuss how best implement it
  • Understanding how multiple features come together into a coherent story technically for the user
