Curated Content Channels are a Scalable Way to Discover Content, Eliminating Time-consuming Requirement to Manually Search and Curate Content
April 16, 2015 – San Francisco, CA – Hearsay Social, provider of the Predictive Social Suite for financial advisors and insurance agents, today unveiled a new offering called Curated Content Channels, which provides financial professionals with tailored, curated and ready-to-share content, automatically available through the Hearsay Social Content Library.
A recent LIMRA study found that one of the the most common impediments to successful social media programs is “a shortage of content and slow review processes of the content.” Finding and gathering content can be laborious and time consuming. Addressing this common challenge, Hearsay Social’s new Curated Content Channels automate the content curation process and provide advisors and agents with the right content, at the right time, to share with their clients and prospects on social media.
“Curated Content Channels from Hearsay Social make it possible for us to easily deliver tailored and flexible compliance-approved content on a daily basis to our advisors in order to help them to build a more active social presence,” said Ruth Papazian, chief marketing officer and head of business development at HD Vest Financial Services®. “With content automatically curated in the Hearsay Social Content Library, I can focus on running our program instead of creating or searching for relevant content to share with the field.”
Successful professionals on social media are sharing more than just advertising or product-specific content. Hearsay Social advocates a “80/20” rule when posting content to social networks. Eighty percent of the content distributed should be non-financial in nature, but should help to create an authentic, engaging social personality and brand for the advisor. The remaining 20 percent can be financial content to educate the audience and better position the advisor or agent as a trusted source for value-added information.
With Curated Content Channels, advisors and agents can go to the Hearsay Social Content Library and find content that has been automatically searched and sorted on the individual topics of their choosing such as local news, sports, lifestyle, personal finance and more. The content comes from vetted sources including news and magazine websites, high-quality blogs, video feeds and podcasts.
“Hearsay Social provides the industry-leading Predictive Social Suite, which includes our social signals, publishing and compliance capabilities. But we’re always looking for new ways to help advisors and agents be even more efficient and successful on social media,” said Ron Piovesan, vice president of business development at Hearsay Social. “With Curated Content Channels, Hearsay Social now delivers our customers just the most relevant, timely content on their selected topics, filtered from thousands of sources.”
