In the spirit of LIMRA’s recent annual conference, where the organization celebrated its 100th anniversary, we wondered: How much has the business of selling insurance and engaging with clients changed over the years?

There’s no doubt that even in the last decade, advances in technology have influenced nearly every aspect of our lives, including the way we research and purchase insurance. Statistics that demonstrate the changes in consumer preferences and behaviors, and how much personal information we’re now accustomed to sharing online and with companies, abound. The question is, have insurance professionals and firms adapted to these changes? Or are they still operating in the Dark Ages?
