Hearsay Social CEO Clara Shih on Attracting the Always-Connected Consumer [Podcast]

The much bigger opportunity for companies is to think of social business much more strategically. It’s not just about marketing. It’s an opportunity to completely rethink your entire client engagement model. – Clara Shih
We’re excited to share a new interview featuring Hearsay CEO and founder Clara Shih, who recently participated in her alma mater’s new Stanford Innovation Lab podcast series. Hosted by Tina Seelig, professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford and faculty director of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, the series features candid interviews with leading technologists and entrepreneurs on what it takes to build a successful business, from product development to finance to innovation.
In the 30-minute interview, Clara discusses the history and future of social media, highlighting the opportunities many companies are missing in their own social strategies, and shares tips for getting the most out of a social media strategy. She also discusses key themes and takeaways from her new book, The Social Business Imperative: Adapting Your Business Model to the Always-Connected Consumer (#socialbizimperative).
