With LIMRA’s 2013 Social Media Conference for Financial Services just two days away, we have very exciting news to share.
Today, LIMRA announced that it has selected Hearsay Social as its Elite Strategic Partner and endorsed social media solution to help LIMRA member companies better engage through social media. LIMRA is a worldwide research, consulting, and professional development organization that helps more than 850 insurance and financial services companies in 73 countries increase their marketing and distribution effectiveness.
Through this new partnership, LIMRA members will now be able to leverage best practices, training, and the Hearsay Social solution to better serve their customers and grow business. Additionally, at the Social Media Conference for Financial Services this week and at future events, we will work directly with LIMRA to provide its members with access to social sales training, workshops, and strategy sessions.
With 9 in 10 financial services companies currently using social media, according to a recent LIMRA study, more and more agents and advisors have been recognizing how social sales can help grow their business. As LIMRA’s Elite Strategic Partner, Hearsay Social is the endorsed social media solution for LIMRA members to attract, retain, and grow customer relationships through social sales and marketing.
We’re delighted to be working with LIMRA to drive industry transformation through social selling and ensure ongoing relevancy and success for financial organizations in the social and digital era. Many of our financial services customers worldwide have trusted LIMRA since 1916 to help grow their business, improve performance, and continually chart the right course for the future.
Knut Olson, SVP at Thrivent Financial, a LIMRA member and Hearsay Social customer, had this to say about today’s announcement:
“Social media is a natural extension of how our financial representatives are engaging with their clients and prospects. With access to the combined financial services industry and social media resources of LIMRA and Hearsay Social, this new partnership is a clear win for our organization.”
This past May, Knut spoke at LinkedIn’s Financial Services on Thrivent’s path from social media compliance to ROI. Hear how he empowers his field sales organization on social media.
I am personally thrilled to work closely with Bob Kerzner (President and CEO, LIMRA), Jim Kerley (President of LIMRA services), and the entire LIMRA executive team to help the life insurance and financial services industry adapt to and thrive in the social media era.
I’m also excited to be presenting at the Social Media Conference this week alongside Greg Bailey (conference chair and VP Marketing at Pacific Life, @bigtimemarketer), Dipayan Gupta (Head of Social Media Marketing and Strategy at New York Life, @Piron), Augie Ray (Director of Social Media at Prudential Financial, @AugieRay), and executives from LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. On Friday at 9:45 am, I’ll be presenting on “4 Timeless Business Lessons Revived in the Social Media Era.”
We encourage anyone attending LIMRA’s Social Media Conference in Boston this week to stop by our booth and learn more about our new partnership with LIMRA. This week is just the beginning: we’ll be at every major LIMRA event going forward and we’ll be working together with member companies whenever and however we can.
